How Does it Work?
First, place your order in the Shop on this site. Then, you will need to send me several good quality photos of your pet. Complex compositions, multiple animals, etc need to be custom quoted. Contact me before placing an order, if you want something special. I have provided some portraits on this page and what I would have charged you for them so you can get a feel for the price ranges. There is no price difference between color or black & white drawings.
What Happens Next?
Once we have agreed on a reference photo, I will produce a digital drawing for you. It takes about a week or so to finish, depending on how many commissions I’m working on. When I’m done, I’ll send you a digital version of the image with a watermark on it. All that means is there is a mark of my logo in the center so the image can’t be used for anything. If you like the image, fantastic! If you don’t, we can work out a refund. I will try to fix what you don’t like but if we can’t come to some agreement, we will just part ways. No hard feelings.
If you decide that you like the image, I will post a high-res image for printing and a low-res version for sharing. Both of these without the watermark. You will be able to download these files for up to a month. If you need longer or a year from now you lose it, don’t worry I can get you the image from my archives.
What About Prints & Framing?
Please see below for information on ordering the prints, canvases and framing. If you just want the digital drawing, you will get a high-res file that many services at places like Walmart and Costco that can print for you. You will need to do this directly.
How Do I Pay?
I accept credit cards, PayPal and personal checks. (Paying by check will delay the process). I will also accept an Amazon e-Gift card for payment but you will need to contact me about that first.
If you are happy with your art and the service, I’d really love a testimonial quote I can put on my web site. This can be anonymous or not.
I tend to add my drawings to this site. If you would prefer I not show your drawing here, please let me know.
How Much Does it Cost?
Head and shoulders only runs $60 for the drawing. Full body drawings are $75. More complex drawings or drawings with multiple animals are quoted once I know what you want. If you want a Head or Full Body drawing, you can order those in the shop on this site. Click Here for the Shop.
I will do my best to make you happy by making slight adjustments to the image. If you want to make substantial changes that were not part of the original request, additional cost will be incurred. I will let you know the additional cost before the work begins. I usually complete drawings within a week (not including printing). Rush services are available for an extra fee. Usually about $20.
If you want a complex drawing or one with multiple pets, please email me to get a price. Click Here for the contact form.

You are not obligated to order prints from me. You will receive a high resolution digital file that you can take to any supplier to get printed. Or you can let me handle the printing. Print options are available when you order the drawing. There is a selection of sizes and a choice between paper or canvas. Typically it takes about 1-2 weeks to do the drawing and 2 weeks to get the print. Ask about Rush Service cost. There is a discount for multiple prints of the same image.
I offer FrameBridge framing for your convenience. If you want your print framed, select the framing option product in the store for the size of the image print you ordered and add it to your cart in addition to ordering the print. If you choose framing, I will take care of sending the print to Framebridge and they will ship the finished item directly to you. The cost of framing does NOT include the drawing or the print. You need to order the framing in addition to the print.
